Home improvements

I have been thinking about all the home improvements we have made in the three years we have lived in our house. When I think of them, it is very overwhelming, here is our list:

Carpet, paint, inside doors, garage door, re-did kitchen cabinets, windows, fire place, railing, kids rooms, fence, and re-did front yard. (still a work in progress):)

Currently working on:
Sprinklers, (back yard), new grass, gravel, and play area. And of course, my favorite Mother's Day gift, flowers for the entire yard. It's hard work, but very much worth it.
We love our house, especially our neighborhood, we have many wonderful friends! :)

Several people of asked me to post pics of our fence. These are not the best pics.

Girls night, games, and sleepovers

Our weekend was good...

Friday, Jon had a campout with the Scouts, so the girls and I had a girls + G-pa night.
We went to Ayden's favorite place to eat, Sweet Tomatoes. G-pa went home after dinner and us girls went to the mall shopping.:) Ayden went to almost every store and tried on all the shoes she could. After a while, she wanted to play at the play area. It is so nice that, South Towne mall has a play area. My Mom and I talked while Ayden played. After the mall we went back to G-ma's and hung out.
Saturday, Jon had 2 softball games and a football game. Ayden got to have a sleepover with her cousins. She loves sleepovers! (so do I)!! After the games, Jon and I went to lunch and did yard work. Saturday night, we hung out and watched the Jazz game. It was so nice, Addison was asleep by 8:30, so we were kind of "child less" for the night.

In My Daughter's Eyes

Our girls are so sweet and precious to us. We are so blessed to have them. We love them so much!
Their beautiful blue eyes are so precious. Each time they smile, their eyes light up, it is so wonderful!

I love Martina McBride's song, "In my Daughter's Eyes." It is a beautiful song.
I have my days that I get frustrated with them, but I need to remember to "look in their eyes," and just relax and remember they are just kids. They are truly miracles from Heaven.

Yeah Addison!

Quick post... Addison has been crawling without "scooting" for 2 days! She is sitting all by herself and pulling herself up to things. Yeah Addison!

The weekend

I can't believe it's Tuesday. Time flies! We had a good weekend. We didn't do too much.
Saturday we worked on our back yard all day. We are re-doing the entire yard.
Two weeks ago, Jon put up a new fence. It looks so nice! It was very much needed. He added a big gate on the side, to pull his work trailers in the back yard.
Jon's dad brought his digger over and they grated the whole back yard, which now our yard is level, it wasn't before. That took all day, what a pain, but worth it. Home improvements keep you busy-but it's worth it. I think after we get the back yard done, we'll be done for a little while ( I hope) :)

After church on Sunday, Ayden went over to Jolene's to see if she would like to buy some treats for her gymnastics fundraiser. Ayden asked her if she could stay at her house and play. Of course, Jolene said "sure." It was so nice to visit with her, she is such a wonderful lady. We were over there for about 1 hour. When we left, Ayden asked me when she could go back and play with her. Ayden was still confused where Tiff, kids, Nat were.

A few weeks ago, we bought our first trailer! It's old, but hey paid for! Jon and Ayden have been so excited to sleep in it. Sunday night, they decided to have their sleep out in the trailer. Ayden was ready for bed at 7:00, just so she could go in the trailer. They took tons of blankets, pillows, and a heater. They took our portable tv, dvd player and watched "A wonderful life", Ayden and Jon's favorite movie, and of course popcorn. Ayden had a ton of fun, she loves hanging out with her dad, they are so much a like.

Best buds!

Different but same..

First off, I have changed our blog 3 times already. I think I am done changing it for awhile.
I found these pictures of Ayden and Addi. I thought they have always looked so different, but they actually look similiar. Of course Addi has a ton more hair than Ayden did. What's funny, Ayden had lighter hair, started to go dark, went back to so blonde. Addi was born with tons of dark hair, hasn't lost any of it, now it's starting to lighten up. It's fun to look back on each baby.

What a night

Those of you that know my kids, you know they are awesome sleepers. Well I don't know what the deal was with last night. When Jon is at the fire depart. I usually have the girls in bed by 8:30, depending on naps. Yesterday, Ayden didn't have nap and Addi only had 2 short naps, so of course I put them to bed at 8:30. By 9:00 they were out cold. Addi woke up at 3:45am searching for her binki, but went back to bed. I finally got back to sleep (which takes me forever), all of a sudden I hear "la la la, Mom I'm ready to get out!"" What?? It was Ayden up at 6:20 AM. Ayden has never been up that early EVER!!! Addi was up at 8:00. Which is normal for her.
All I can say, is my girls (especially Ayden) will be having naps today.

*I will post some pictures, as soon as I can find where Jon saved them into his file.
